John that turned out beautiful. Is that a opalescent underneath? The wee copper rivets are so too much.

Daka Ware rules supremely.

The metal finsih of the box is just the way it left the sweatshop at New Sensor China.
No paint on there. The rivets are actually just small finish nails that
I ground the heads down on and then copper plated...
They will darken over a few days and mellow out.
I cut and bent the nail shafts over inside, that lattice isn't going anywhere.
I need to leave this out in the weather a couple nights to
give it a little more solidity. Never under estimate my compulsiveness  :D

Thanks for the compliment Daevid
Yeah, gotta love the dakaware!

Mike, that is beautiful--can't wait for the demo. (BTW, Dano should pay you a commission--you sold me a couple of the Cool Cats.)

Boost/overdrive pedal for the guitarplayer of a metalband called Social Decay.

Sigh, the obligatory gutshot.

Hi, Rellay nice looking. I specially like the Tele knobs in combination with the graphics and the box. Do I spot a ROG Double D :icon_question:
The only bad sounding stomp box is an unbuilt stomp box. ;-)

Thank you. And no, no ROG. Something boohteekier ...

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

Ben N

Well, the control labels remind me of the last-generation DODs. Very creative, very open to interpretation.  ??? ;D

Question: What do you guys use for your pedal's clear coat? I think I'm using some Rust-oluem enamel stuff or Krylon enamel...And after a couple of coats, I can get a smooth glassy finish, but even after several days (weeks in some cases of laziness!) the clear coat isn't 100% hard. I can press into it using my nail, or if I leave it on top of some points objects, it easily gets marred.

So! What should I use?
Anyone?

GREEN FUZ

A two part acrylic resin, with a bit of care, makes for a really nice finish.

Beautiful PCB work, just perfect! Congratulations!

Fuzzy-Train

John did an excellent job etching and SpencerPedals made a kick ass layout!

I'm tempted to try another one with ceramic caps.

Here's a really close up shot of the underside.

Sounds like you need to try a straight up Triange Muff build. :)

SpencerPedals

Every part of that build is artful.  Congrats on the killer looking (and I'm assuming sounding, as well) pedal.

^ I like! Is that top graphic some kind of plate you put on top?

Hearthrob Tremolo, PCB by John Lyons. :D

super bright LED.

i almost wish I wasn't giving this away. I love the finish. controls are rate and depth.

speed switch on top, that allows your to change the range of the rate knob.

obligatory gut shot. First time using an MXR box, and it was only cause I thought there was a TINY chance I could make it work. So it's a bit cramped, since the enclosure was already drilled out for a different pedal and I didn't really plan for it to be used by the Hearthrob. No room for battery, even though there's a snap. :( No regrets, though, I really like it!

ShortScaleMike

ha! I wish I got commission, from youtube comments it seems I've "sold" a lot of Fender, Orange, Marshall etc gear.

Demo of the Dirty Little Secret will be done in the next couple of days.
