Lets see here...

Hammertone is done with silicone I think, the chemicals repel each other.
Powder coating is similar to spray paint as far as hammer tones go.
Although I prefer the look of enamel hammertone...sigh....

The transistors are "new old stock". I don't really know about them other than they sound good.

I was given them by Dragonfly, (thanks man!)

The 4th knob is a variable midrange control. I used a modified set of caps for the tone stack.
With the mid knob and the modified caps I can get flat midrange and super scooped as well
as the typical big muff slight mid cut (variable mids).

I took the pics with mixed sun and shade. No flash. Slight lighting touch up in photoshop. ("shadow/highlight")

I have a mixed selection of resistors. I just use the types I have. I didn't pick out the type for a particular use,
just used what I had the correct value for.

Not a new build, but a new graphic. The old graphic didn't turn out so well, as my technique was in it's infancy. So I removd the circuit, sanded the box, and did a new graphic. The circuit is a submini pentode with Si/Ge diode clipping, somewhat similar to the Electra/Trotsky but using a tube instead of a transistor. These particular subminis tend to be microphonic (and 'ding' as you stomp the 3DPT) so I've wrapped it in electrical tape to damp it.

Might want to try O-rings Rick. I have used them in a few of my amps and they work quite well.

Not sure if they make tiny sub mini ones though...

I thought of that too, but the electrical tape works fine.

Funny how doing a 'makeover' on an old pedal makes it kind of new and exciting again though!

Hey Rick, does black font labeling become blurry with sun and time? I've got this problem on a build, the black ink seems to ''leak'' with time and sunligth exposition...So labeling that were clear on first day become blurry.

Might be OK with these 5672's as they don't get hot. But Dual triodes such as 6021, 6111, 6112 etc get pretty hot, besides I've never had a microphonic 6111 or 6112. It seems to me that tubes with really low heater voltage (1.25v and 2.5v) are microphonic, maybe due to the filament looking somewhat like a tiny reverb spring!

The old graphic for that pedal was very heavy on the black, and it kind of took over all teh other colours! Now such a problem with lettering, but if the background of the graphic is black then it's not so good.

No, just gold plated silicon no name diodes.
They looked nice so I used them
