The French connection

Craig Anderton frequency booster builded according to this layout: http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/French+connection/Vero+Layout/CA_Freq_Boost.jpg.html
Nice and versatile booster, can create some ''fixed freq wah'' boost. Hence the name i gave it!

Sloppy gut shot! Add some troubleshoot ::)

...And a ROG Ruby amp ''mod'' to Fender bassman spec...Sound good! I use it for testing. Found nice Ge Hitachi trannys in it: 2sb156, 2SB77 and 2sb353 and some orange sc4608...don't know what to do with them tough...

Thanks

Dan
I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

The frenquency booster looks good  ! ( sounds good too ? )

The French connection

Yeah it sounds good! The Rumble, Sheen and Bright setting are my fav. The other one sound like a wah set in midrange...not really my cup of tea, but who can say that they don't like having more option. I guess it depend of your rig also...

Tim Escobedo's Jinx.

Gotta try some different JFETS, its not doing all the things I remembered it doing when I built one for a friend, but definately working.

The sloppy switch is salvaged from an old build when my soldering was even worse than it is now, so thats a bit ugly...

My Gristleizer build. Enclosure finish compliments of John Lyons, who is the freakin' man. Thanks, John!

I've been laying out my controls in parabolic curves lately...It's kinda fun :)

Hah--and that way, nobody can tell if I deviated from the curve a little. I can always blame it on lens distortion or some other nonsense :-P

the j's plexiglass filled with a rgb led underneath that can be programmed into any color you like.

It's called, "knowing the words would come back to haunt her" and it's a trem/wah/guitar drummachine type thing that i've been working on for ages.  The inside's a mess right now because it's still in proto stage.  When I get everything ironed out, I'll post a vid or mp3. Shouldn't be terribly long.

edit to actually put the picture in.   :icon_redface:

I applied the LED border to my original DOD 308 - now i'ts so cool...

Next, I am gonna take off the red LED on the top and put a switch with Si diodes and LEDs (clipping choice)
I love this pedal...Gonna post the pics of the one DIY I am currently building...
I am in the finishing process, but the circuit's up and running, with the diode switch...
Man, I love LEDs!!!
how do you install the led between the two parts??

Here's a plan of a pedal i'm going to build:

It's an EA Tremolo + Jawari in one box  :)

Here's the YouTube demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW0qqbDlemA

I realized after the fact, that I had the window fan on :-\ (-hot for September today in Massachusetts) so the sound isn't that great, but you get the idea.

Channel one is a mosfet boost (based loosely on the SHO - with some resistor changes, fixing the bias resistor to ground @ 1k, and moving the gain pot to the end of the signal chain)

Channel two is a 12AU7 set to give a just little bit of dirt on its own. Then, when driven by the 1st channel, the pedal thickens up and give a nice warm overdrive. The whole thing runs on 9 volts.

Hope you like it. I'll try to get a schematic up when I make one that's halfway presentable.

Sweet sounding boost/od!  I really like the control you have with the break up and the versitility of tones!  Great job!   8)
