I did another recording of my own because I wanted to show the cleaner and more subtle sounds a bit better, rather than just the really deep and dark ones. Please excuse all bad playing and don't comment on that, as I don't consider myself much of a guitarist. It's the tones that I work towards...

Built this a while ago & never got around to boxing it up.  Figured it would take forever to do the square holes;  only took five minutes.  Go figure.

This is nothing to make a fuzz about (sorry for the bad joke)
It's just your average slightly modded Tube Screamer in a smaller enclosure.

Thomeeque - square holes - drew lines where I wanted the holes, drilled a hole with the biggest bit that would fit in the space allowed, then did the rest with small files.

Indeed, it is. It can be very Muff like or like a Superfuzz, depends on your intensity setting. I made some soundclips you can listen to over here:

Beside the both transistor at the end reminds me a desing to have crossover distortion.

have you tried changing the two switches for pots ? that could increase possibilities of that design maybe.

yeah, the end is pretty weird. something like a diode pair I think.
for the switches I tried that with the chaos switch with rather succes. It sounded only good in the extrem positions.

But when that means "remove" that would say bypassing components (so giving a "pure" link, 0 ohm  ) or take off completely the component and let empty it's place ? (nothing connected )

For instance, in noise mod you remove the 2M2 in the feedback loop and let empty that place, rigth ?

a modified Phase 90 (with TOne, Feedback, Level, and Speed controls). speed control at minimum is 100ohms only, while speed pot is a parallel 1Meg+470K for more usable range.

I'm not sure if I did understand you right, but for the noise mod I can say that it is pretty useless. Letting the 2,2M out ends up in some background hiss as far as I remember - nothing desirable for me. Mods that I found out to be usefull are the Legend Fuzz Master/ Soda Meiser switch and the optional starve pot, which allows you to have some smoother fuzz sounds in the normal mode or some funny oscillations in the chaos mode.

Remove means remove and leave open, do not short.
