thanks! I like the Ptap function, but seriously I've only used the pedal for maybe 5 or 6 minutes. I got done the build, took some pictures, played with it for a few minutes and went to bed!

I only have the video camera in my iPhone, but maybe someone else knows where to direct you. Perhaps I'll get one done but it's unlikely to be of any quality.

The Rebote 2.5 sounds spectacular.

ok..like i said, i was based on fernando´s tutorial to do this:

I used plain fiber PCB etching+embossed paint

the guts..pcb looks dirty and kind of ugly..this is the prototype PCB, it had few errors i corrected after, and i had to file it down to make it fit.

Nice!

dschwartz - is this a plate on top of the box? you just etch the place and then let the screws on the switches and pots hold it in place?

What color is that PCB on the top of the box? Blue?  looks nice....
Is there anything/anyway to protect the copper from corrosion?
Completed Builds: A lot...

Tubes are overrated but they surely look good, right? :) T.

I used plain fiber PCB, kind of transparent..i used blue metalized paint for the control bar, and black enamel for the logo and name.

i used it as a plate and it holds in place with the pots and switches nuts. A couple of laquer (polyurethane) layers protects the copper from corrosion (i hope).

I liked the results very much, but i´m still questioning the time and effort involved, although to me is much easier and less riskier than etching the box directly (although that looks better IMHO). Etching the board is easy, but the embedded painting is a PITA.

Tom, yes, they look much nicer.. i dunno why transistors can´t be nicer, rounded edges, nice colors, nice fonts..i´ll bet that would make them sound "warmer"

I'm sure it is!
Your results looks great, Daniel, how did you cutted that PCB?

Hey Slade!

I just looked at your website, it's fantastic pedal porn.

You need a lot of experience to make pedals that good, so I always thought you must be an old guy.  But there's a photo on the website...... my socks are older than you!  Somehow, that makes it more amazing.

Amazing stuff chaps, I wish I had the skills to do stuff like that.
It's almost a shame to post this and spoil the party :D

All new booster/overdrive/distortion pedal, schematics and stuff to follow shortly.

i cut the board with a cardboard knife (cartonero, tip top,,como se llame) and bending it until it breaks..then some filing to the corners and smooth it with sand paper.

Now everyone knows I'm a little boy...
Well I'm not that young, here in Chile a lot of guys of my age are doing great builds in the effects field, you should look HERE, our chilean gallery. As you pass over the pages you will see how this guys are growing and making such amazing effects... And they are all of my age or less! I'm really glad for that.

Wow.. That's a lot of work. I prefer my "direct" etchings, haha!

haha yes, is a lotta work..but i didn´t want to etch the board directly, that´s your trademark and i wouldn´t like having my pedals being compared with yours, i´d surely loose on that field. so i thought about a different approach..
i think i´ll better get working on nicer designs and have the panels being made by specialists..in santiago there a re lots of engraving stores that can make a better job for not that much money..

and please check chilean builds gallery. we´re so proud!

Libelle - Dual LFO Optical Tremolo.

Based on the Tremulus Lune, with some modified values. I made my layout based on tonepad's layout for this proyect. Fantastic tremolo, I'll be making a video soon.

And the guts...

Nah, he's just 'future-proofed' it, he's obviously planning to add some extraordinary mod at some point which will use the unused extra pole.

But then again, look at those two resistors to the left of the 3PDT. Standards are slipping, he's getting complacent, he's on the slippery slope - point and laugh!
