I wish I had started getting into decals sooner. I've been using them a lot lately and they look soo much better than anything I was doing before.

Is that color laser on the red decal or inkjet decal?
The Copper hammer and TB fonts look real purdy.

Its all inkjet. I have tried laserjet before and they looked like shit and were way too fragile. The inkjet ones look much nicer and because you clear them are much much sturdier.

Inkjet? You're using a normal inkjet printer to do those? Anything more about that technique?

I use Laser-Decals, with the same results as Inkjet... Of course, the enclosure is clear-coated after applying the decals.

How do you get your wires so stiff and neat? its like they're suspended in the air!

Could this wire be the pre bond wire available at Small Bear?  I envy the neatness too and think I'll get some of this stuff for future builds.

Yeah, you can get almost that rectilinear with the prebond, but it's not quite as stiff so it doesn't hang there as rigidly. I like it more than solid core, for sure. But my builds aren't quite that neat.

i dunno I use solid core + pliers... i shape it up, put it all together, but it sags and the bends widen by the time im done soldering. Practice makes perfect, i guess?

Straightening the wire before bending it helps.

Easiest way to straighten is with a drill - take a length of wire, clamp one end to the bench, the other in the drill chuck, spin for some number of turns, reverse the drill and return. Straight wire.

I do not use solid wire, I use braiding (hope this is translated correctly).
I think its more difficult using strong wire because it is not so flexible to shape.

I prepare the braiding with my fingernails, fingertip and a little tweezer
