Just finished my first attempt at an etch. Turned out really well thanks to Slades tutorial and other peoples suggestions for etching techniques.

Sorry for the poor photos but I've only got my iPhone as a camera at the mo!

Its an Echobase Delay as created by Slacker, built on Vero. Didn't work at first but a quick debug soon sorted that! Loving the pedal!

The two lines below the Feedback pot glow red when the effect is on  :icon_cool:

Thanks again to everyone that's taken the time to fill this site with such amazing information, I'm well and truly hooked!

thats awesome, where is this "slades tutorial" about etching?

Jimi

Very very clean etch and cool design too !

Beautiful :)

John, may I ask what the extra holes are for?

LOL. I've been waiting to see someone do this for quite a while now. The extra holes are surely for the hookup wire Steve.

Steve Mavronis

Ok for some reason I always expect to see them along an edge. Good job John a work of art.

The holes are to release the mojo in case the pressure builds up
too much.  :D

Would they then be considered "MOJO blow holes"?? :o :o

John Lyons

That's what I call them at least.

Is that a reverse etch on the side?   :o
Yes, a little reverse etch, I didn't wanted to put any names on the front side.

Fernando, your stuff should be shown (and sold) in a gallery.

Why not!

Some kind of freakish conductivity/capacitance/whatever through the paint?

John Lyons

I measured it and there was no resistance between two points 1/4" apart.
I doubt capacitance, I'll built it up and we'll see.
