Hey, thanks a lot Govmnt_Lacky!
I water sanded it with 80,220,240 sand paper, and the graphics is made with adhesive decal inkjet paper: this one! :)

I have no problem complimenting good looking work!
It looks like you sanded it with a higher grit than 240. I like the look of the "grain" in the metal a lot.  ;D

Dirty Little Sambas.... chuckle.

Looks like a Madbean Board? Black PCB looks angry.

Very nice, John!

May I ask where you got those snazzy knobs?

I got them from a friend who got them from a surplus shop.

Ah, thanks guys. I'm rehousing an old Green Sovtek Muff to be more pedalboard friendly. Plus it was broken. :p: Anyway, it was missing a two of it's knobs, but those look a lot like the originals! I'll see if the owner wants them. :D

I tinkered around with madbeans Chunk Chunk layout. Maybe someone wants to use this:

Madbean Chunk Chunk (Dr. Boogie) with voltage doubler

http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/albums/userpics/24316/chunkchunkx4.pdf

- to be able to use 3 Pin PCB connectors for each pot. I moved the holes away from the caps. But you can't use 12 pin connectors because I separated the holes to 3 pin groups (I hope you understand what I mean with my hypersupermega english).
- C20 has now 5mm contact spacing like C14.
- voltage doubler added (part list: http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=2792&fullsize=1)

Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

FunkyGibbon

Hi John,

Is that an etch, or some kind of plate? (and if it's a plate, how?)

Either way, it looks fantastic. I think my favourite of yours so far.

...or is the enclosure really tiny?

it's a 10mm led + bezel. i like them because they are really easy to see and look like an amp jewel

wow where did you get those? I want to make a hal9000 looking pedal and that would be perfect.

edit: I forgot they have these at radio shack, and I think I also saw them at fry's from the linrose brand. I am not sure if I have seen the bezels before though.

Right now it runs on 9v because of the lack of shielded wire. There is still a pin for the 9V like it is in the original layout. Just need to replug it to the doubler after using shielded wire for the in and output.

I love your use of interconnects it makes the build look really pro! I used shielded wire on mine, but apparently I didn't hook it up right because I didn't ground the sleeve. but I don't have any noise issues so I just left it the way it is.

This thread keeps going better and better... John, tuckster, darron, eniacmike, ShortScaleMike, Lazerphea, etc... your builds looks great, guys, congratulations!! :icon_biggrin:

Here's one from me, it's an optical compressor with a "colour" control that boosts bass and treble to get more clarity... Crystal Clear!

I will build that one for me  8)

With some tweaks of course  :icon_mrgreen:
