The paintwork was quite difficult, first i tried masking and spraying, masking and spraying, but found that I got bleed under the tape, so I ended up stripping it and just using cotton buds to drip paint into the etched areas - much more control and no masking needed if you have a steady hand. Then hand sanded under water.

Univibe?

Those turret builds look really nice!

I also like the "grittiness" of your wah. Gives it character

Great texture and color! Nice work.

Lovely.

One question though, between the ldr's and the trimpots there are four resistors that looks like they're in parallel with wires  ???

Are they, if so why? Or am I missing something?

here my last builds.

Hi Dr.maligno,

this is a very cool box, I think I saw it somewhere in this forum before ;)
Rape and Scream, very nice, what labels do the other knobs have?

The amp is very nice too!

Thanks to everyone for the kind words :)

yes thats a univibe. I had build it using R.G Keen's input impedance/gain mod, mix mod, powersection and viva analog's bulb offset mods.
Still it didnt sound like i wanted it to.
having too little reaction on the LDR's i decided to short the 10K resistors i had put there to get it at around 10k with the light at its brightest.(and being too lazy afterwards to properly remove them:P
about 3 weeks ago i replaced the powersection of the Neo-Vibe layout with the original Univibe one, changed the 18v regulator with a 24 volt one and also supplied it with a 24 volt supply
added the higher speed mod and build a LERA/threadle control in a wah shell to control it.(with Lera on high speed i can slow it down to any speed i like bringing back the threadle, and the footswitch I use for the leslie ramp up/down) now it sounds like it should :)

that wah looks so gritty cause i bought it in 1994. it has never worked properly since, but the chrome looks so pretty i can't let it go :P Sometimes i get the feeling this Wah-shell is cursed..
I've been fixing and modding the original pcb so often that the only original thing left is the shell and the inductor (after deciding to ditch the a microphonic Fasel).
It seems to work great now after its last revision.(knock on wood...)

Ah that explains the shorted 10k's I spotted.. what's with the fifth LDR pointed to the lamp?

Liquitone

its in series with the speed indicator led
