quick design by Chad Leavitt on one of my enclosures:

Very nice, how's it done?

thanks (:

the texture was brushed onto the enclosure with a lion dremel and a fine wire brush. then powder coated in a candy powder. then laser engraved at 600dpi. then a couple of coats of polyurethane clear on the top just so that it doesn't tarnish.

Hi All,

Always amaizing jobs here and in the 1590A section... None other than congratulations again !

No painting nor engraving nor etching nor laser-decal-ing for me, sorry, faute de mieux - the Plate & Logo Craze continues :

Here's an overdrive basedgrosso-modo on the DOD 250 but using a LM308N instead of the 741 :

A+!
I apologize for my approximative english writing and understanding !

A complete pedal construction video with almost all steps from beginning to end.
Due to youTube limitations I had to condense it down to 10 mins....

please share it around!

Cool video Darron, thanks for posting.
Interesting to see how different we all build pedals.

First go with a mad bean board, this is the Firebomb (zvex 2 in 1)

Great boards and very easy to work with...

Ha ! Flea Market, trashed industrial equipment, automotive dismantling workshops, chance, hazard, gifts... Any ! So :

The yellow box is an ABY box, on which the logo comes from a FIAT Ducato Truck (15 - 2.8JTD)

At right, the black one is an OVD LM308N, on which the CRC logo comes from an old industrial power supply. CRC means Constructions Radioélectroniques du Centre, a long-time out of business company. The plate ring around the FSW comes from a dead Melodium microphone transformer.

The two others below : the dials, the tumbler's switch plates, the DEMARRAGE plate comes mainly from an electrical cabinet which controled the diesel engine of an abandoned cable-car station in the late 70's. You also recognise the rest of the Melodium mike Xfo, the ATOMISOR plate comes from a medical instrument, the VT25 tag comes from a WWII US bomber's radio tramsmitter found in an hamfest...

I collected these parts for fun, for the occasion... only because I found their design nice or odd, and mostly many many years ago.

Now you know all the truth - so you can find the same, too , à gauche à droite, par-ci par là !

A last one, this time a (premium specimen) plate coming from a Direction de la Sûreté du Territoire (French FBI) big old computer ingraciously dismantled, ripped and trashed :

EATyourGuitar

I just finished this NPN fuzz face using germanium 2N5133 hfe about 110, 120. the switch toggles a 1M>100pf feedback loop from the out before volume knob to input. middle is normal fuzz face. and the third position is 1N4148 back to back diodes to ground. and the third knob is a starve that also works great to bias the transistors as the correct bias is almost 2/3 CW. I had them biased good on the bench but I went from battery to adapter and lost the original transistors after I made the board.
