Still, it works, and there's no space advantage compared to top-mounted DC jacks unless you have top-mounted audio jacks as well. Having them on the side also means shorter wires to the 3PDT switch and no space needed at the top of the pedal.

Yeah, this is true... so put them all on top! That's what I do... it makes cable runs so much easier.

My latest one... Another Albondiwah!
It's a modified Lovetone Meatball into a 1590BB.

Not the best wiring I've made, but this boy is a little PITA to wire!

Cheers!

Great replies guys!
I saw the diagram you did with the psu and all the side mounted pedals..

But you know what?A standard pedalboard doesn't have only handmade pedals...
Most pedal manufacturers have their dc jack on top...
:)

I think we need to stop talking about DC jack placement.

Hi, guys. I use solid wоrks for 3D

This is the optimum placement of all stuff.
The small black "things" under the pots are small piher trimmers. This is not switches.

Excellent work, I like what you've done with the battery clip.  Did you get your solid models from somewhere, or did you create them?

Yup, it's a pain. It bugs me more when they put all of the jacks on top. Most of my commercial pedals and all of my diy pedals have the jacks on the sides. My power cable can stretch from top to side, but my patch cables have more trouble and get stressed more.

IMO, the best setup is just one where all the jack locations are the same on all of your pedals.

I'll have to make another decal for this but here is a Big Muff Pi based from Rick Holt's layout with his clip mod  :)

I'd also be interested in hearing how you did the white.

Kind of looks like it's printed on white paper to me. The orange area looks like it's printed rather than the paint showing through.

What Taylor said  ;)

The labels for the controls are hidden by the controls, that's why I'm a little disappointed. The orange doesn't perfectly match either but there isn't that much of a difference  :)

Where did you get those knobs from please?

I got them from Jaycar. I wouldn't know where to get them online.

Everything aside the PCB, Enclosure and the BC550C's I used were spares from other projects. When I upload a pic, you'll see how hacked it is inside, I really need to invest in a proper soldering iron  :icon_lol: Now to remember to take a photo of the guts in the morning.
