Is that DC jack PCB mounted internally? Have any issues with mechanical stress?

Really no.
The soldering job was pretty good.

Having done the same for my last builds I can answer: from my experience, no.

It depends how good the jack is; I have a HP iPaq 4150, but the charging cradle's power jack isn't great and came off the board.

Burger King if I was to figure out my time vs payment.

Today's build: Arduino Nano DSP!
A bit miffed that the cheap Nano I bought of eBay isn't a genuine Gravitech (some subtle mistakes) but it seems to work perfectly.  Currently got a mistake in the input circuitry (the 5V pin is meant to be biasing it but I miscounted and it's hooked up to analogue input 7 instead, will fix tomorrow) but the dials and output work great in my test scripts.  I think my perfboarding's getting better, it's not quite there, but better.  Tucking the output circuitry (just a resistor divider because I want 16-bit out but the pins only allow 8-bit so I use two with one 256x down and then a filter to smooth the blistering fast PWM square wave into a decent analogue signal) under the Arduino itself was a fun little challenge.

My brother is a neurosurgeon who says the same thing. He often works 100+ hours a week, and says he'd probably make more as an endurance fry cook. Somehow I doubt it though.
