I'm going to guess and say... base coat, then spray water on the enclosure, then spray top coat on the wet box, then wait for the water to evaporate. Am I right?

ok, last time I metioned the process was part of some stuff I do professionally - so some is trade secret stuff,
but here's the broad idea,
PA-10 etch primer - the red stuff they use on boats, thats the one
use different aerosols, vinlys, enamels etc - cheap sprays are the best because they'll go mental in the oven, of with
other chemicals.,
and use just mist, tiny bits of paint - and build it up
also I buff between coats with rags, no sanding between coats - just buff
these do take a long time, longer than building a lil booster pedal, for me anyway
oh - and hammerite paint is fun at really high heats, but watch it doesnt fizzle and spit at you

Spray bombed a red circle with a stencil. Made the waterslide decal with Photoshop.

If you're not doing it for yourself, it's not DIY. ;)

+1, Mike! Happy Halloween... that beats our pumpkins by far!
Give a man Fuzz, and he'll jam for a day... teach a man how to make a Fuzz and he'll never jam again!

i soaked the whole thing in a two part epoxy made famous by chad. should be pretty durable (:

still, have one falling off every now and then, hopefully from the very thick areas.

just a bit of fun.

Hi there, I've been reading through "free stomp boxes" (why does this forum replace it with "..." ??) for a long time, gathering info on how to make pedals. Now a few months later I'm all into this. I'm making a few pedals per week and I love it! Here are a few photos and sorry I don't have any gutshots. I'll post some later if people are interested.

I'm working on a lot more pedals and other types of pedals. It's fun!

tasos

Great hand work there!
However you should apply lacquer to get a better shinny finish...
Also you could change your knobs! ;D

geiristudio

Thanks! Yes definitely. I'm experimenting with varnish on my next pedals. Hopefully it will turn out better. I still like it though!

Sounds great, that riff at the end has been in my head all day!
