okay. glad it hasnt reached 1000 pages yet. Here's your apocalyptic pedal I call the GEL. It is based off a Clari(not) so its sort of a delay. There are a few bends that turn it into a ring modulater of sorts with a added lfo. it has UV leds and glow in the dark paint inside of it so its a real eye grabber. if i do say so myself. BEHOLD

So are the 1000 contest guys gonna get mad if I use this space to tell all of you guys that you have been making some great builds lately?

Great job guys, keep building beautiful things, posting pictures and putting pressure on the 1000 contest guys!!

Ok, those are probably the most interesting pics yet in this whole thread.  You gotta make a video of that sick sick thing you got going on there. Like it a lot..

Okay. Want. And that's before you got to the incredibly awesome enclosure. :P

I can't believe 1000 was expected to happen around December. Pretty nuts when you consider how many pictures have been posted since the contest was announced.

Edit: Oh, my useful contribution to the thread ...

ZenDrive in a 1590A. Big props and thanks to Dan Zink for proving it can be done and for the gut shot showing the pot layout.

Mousefet Overdrive (based on Madbean's Mysterioso, which is based on the Blackout MOSFET OD). The second switch is actually a mids boost, and the boost pot is a pot in series with the mid boost's cap to control the presence of the mids boost. I find that much more useful than switching to a second volume and drive setting, especially because I don't have to guess which channel was the louder one.

Since I've dropped out of the competition I don't feel as bad posting a pic here now.  ;)

Agreed!  I actually pointed the last page of the thread out to him, FYI.

Here: I'm working with some of his Ring Mod PCBs too...but mine's not quite ready yet.
Note quite as many switches going on as glops (just two.)  Tight enclosure fit/struggle.
Damned steel cases!

I love that board. I was able to get rid of all of the carrier noise by doing a 2k and 500 ohm pot in series.  I think I had a 2k on my previous build and
could never dial it out. Totally gone now. No carrier bleed at all!!!

Power supply

What design did you use for the power supply?
Nucleon FX - PCBs at the core of tone

ca cat

I designed it myself. Used standard 78xx regulators, and filter caps. Similar to ultra clean power supply from General guitar gadgets. I t has 3 isolated sections - 2*9v, 2*9v and 18 + 15 v. I used Hahn transformers.
