LOL! Really like your boxes Crust.  ;D

Anyway, John:

Did you cut the lugs of the switch? I have a problem putting this size DPDT switch in a 1590B sized enclosure, even after cutting the lugs.

John Lyons

^ On this box I did cut the switch lugs. In a B sized box you just need to make sure the
switch is set high enough to clear the bottom plate. When I make another one I'll put
the switch a little closer to the middle of the box.

Cool stuff crust! Lots of fun variations there.

Wow... there are some really talented people (and imaginative) out there. Congrats to all :)
I'll through my current builds up  here while I (impatiently) await my Tayda parts order to arrive. They have all gone from prototype working mockups to the final box stage. Left to right..... Little Angel (with its graphic test), Tremulus Lune, and Deep Blue Delay The Little Angel pedal is just in the box build stage. The boards are etched and populated and the internal wiring is really just awaiting the potentiometers and knobs and one IC on the Deep Blue Delay.

I've shown these pedals and artwork before, but this is to show the weekend's experiments with powder coating. I'm trying to find new better ways to make nice contrast artwork with powder coating:

This one I started with a coat of fine black. The a blotchy coat of candy red. Then a blotch coat of candy blue to make an astral space theme. Then after lasering the text indent was filled with chrome powder. 4 trips in the oven (:

This one was candy blue over wire brushed metal. Then engraved and the whole thing covered with candy red. Made a dark deep purple but the text of course came out just red:

Amazing, the chrome fill really makes the etch POP!  How true does the purple photograph? Whenever i try to get a picture of a purple pedal the red drops out and they always just look blue rather then a nice rich purple.

the purple looks about right. leaning towards black. just took with with an iphone 5. girlfriend has the camera overseas. i tried one outside in the sunlight that wasn't working though.

Thanks guys !
The last one is covered with something called japanese paper, very thin and easy to apply.
It's not a trem, just a dry/wet mix.

Latest builds :
Jfet buffer and Bazz Fuss, love that one, always sounds killer!

Skruffyhound

I like your stuff too Crusty C
Could you tell us a bit more about that Japanese paper and post some more pics
Welcome.

@thelonius:  cool, i tried fibre optics on a delay too, but the fibres kept breaking at the point of contact,  i think it was the superglue that affected/rotted the fibres.

but it did look the nuts at first...(note to self: buy a glue gun)  ;)...may have to try that again sometime.  8)

I decided to make a 3 in 1 of some of my most used circuits so that I could have one standard sized pedal that I could carry around with me to do most of what I actually need.  This is my Swiss Army Pedal, which has a Screwdriver + Shoot the Moon + Deep Blue Delay.
