Of all of the hardware we use, LED bezels (at least the ones I've seen) are the most under-engineered!  How about putting some threads on that plastic insulator and on the inside of the bezel (or some other positive capture). I don't like relying on a press fit.

Yes. I stopped using them and just hot glue the LED right to the hole now.
Consistency is a worthy adversary

There are some that have a ridge on the plastic, with a corresponding groove on the inside of the metal, that hold them relatively snug. I found a bunch on an old rack mount device that had them....have to use pliers to get the LED in or out.
Mockingbird wish me luck.

if you do use a bezel, put a tiny blob of superglue on the plastic, push in.  :)

Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

gcme93

Haha! Brief translation of that pedal:

I'm off...

still off...

is he going to step on me?....

still off...

I'M ON! EVERYONE LOOK AT ME! I DAZZLE SO BRIGHTLY, I'M A STAR!

Oh I'm off again...
Piss poor playing is why i make pedals.

I have one that does exactly that, can't remember who makes them I got it from one of the big suppliers RS or possibly Farnell. From memory they're relatively expensive compared to the cheap and cheerful "Chinese" ones I normally use.

The VCC LED Lenses are a bit better as they have a snap ring.  They still aren't perfect as the snap ring can slide down with the wall thickness of a Hammond style enclosure.  They are easy to tack in place, though.

Feeling a little fuzzy 'n blue here.

Nice ones John, whenever I see your builds I just want to flip those pcb's over. Must be because I spend so much time routing layouts myself. Would you mind showing the copper side of any of your boards sometime.

John, you hammer-toned the PCB? Why didn't I think of that! I'm always using paint pens on mine.

That totally rocks. ;)

Another one:
Tube trémolo:

Both demos were recorded with an epiphone LP junior with p-90 in the bridge position and a DIY amp 6EM5+6AV6+EF86.
The schem is based on Rick Holt's delirium tremolo with the tremulus lune's LFO.
