That is a great idea. Makes it really easy to ear test, I reckon.

Didn't sand well enough so the press n peel ended up with grooves. Kind of liked the antique look, so I etched it anyways.

Just some recent enclosures I've done lately. Thanks to all the members on here for your inspiration.

Mostly they're BB and B sized

I'm mostly working in lacquers and enamels.

I finished this one this afternoon. I f%#$ked up the positioning of the LED eyes, though  :icon_mad: I tried to drill them from the inside after the top was finished and must've messed up the measurements when I transferred them to the inside. Oh well, you win some, you lose some! You all should be able to guess the circuit from the graphic(I hope)  :)

Cheers Thommo.

Nice job!  Actually pretty damn good for drilling from the inside!!!

Something you might want to try if you do another one is to mount the LEDs flush or below the surface of the enclosure and allow the light to shine through the graphic without any holes in the graphic. Here's one that I did a while back. I had an issue with eyes too.  I marked and drilled the enclosure from the front using a throwaway graphic before I overlaid the actual graphic, but I still missed a little. The human brain can really key in on the slightest offset of facial features.

I gave this to my brother in law for Christmas and those are his kids.  The "Dial-a-Fuzz" was a play on their family name.

Madbean Double Flush

Can anyone who has built this before spot the mistake??

~arph

My guess is that the knob labels should be mirrored  :icon_redface:

Haha, got it in one! Doh! I don't really mind as it's just for my board but still a rookie error! ;)

~arph

It looks awesome though!

Thanks John! I do remember your Dial-a-Fuzz. Very cool.

I was actually going for the not-quite-through-to-the-outside look but it was a bit difficult to get it spot-on after the graphic was down. Lesson learned!

Btw I finished this one last night, before the State of Origin match.
A Wampler Plexi-Drive. All stock. I wanted something a bit different for this one and found this Graphic when I Googled 'plexi'.
Yes, I was a bit heavy-handed with the sealer

I was going to say "why would you stop the pedal to watch origin", but I'm doing this now so I can watch "le tour".

and that is a weird look.

darron, that is a mean looking box. thankfully, I already have enuff (stupid) ideas for boxes.

So here are probably my last 2 builds til mid August. Sadly sometimes real life gets in the way, but first is another Enviro job on The Lord of the Kraken and the bottom right is what happens when you rush it. It is just a neat sounding pedal. The Kracken Guts are a mess but I am particularly proud of the Galacticon guts. It is finished with a polyurethane finish.

And of course the Galacticon, it's a phase 45 with a depth mod

Sorry I missed this earlier. I like the visual effect - almost like looking through a translucent cover.

Andrew.

If the grooves didn't stop in a straight line at the bottom and when it gets to the knobs I would have thought they were part of the design, I think it looks ace personally!

Loving the jacks/switching board too. I use the same bypass, it's ace isn't it!!
