I'm guessing it is some sort of fuzz using a logic chip?

Looks like a quad opamp to me. TL074?

@ ppcnostalgic     Is that a flat top with a slant halfway down? Pretty sweet looking build in that enclosure.

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

@Liquitone Here you can listen to the original Emma pedal    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn50XYYMoBA

@haveyouseenhim The IC is a CD4069 (14 pins) and yes the enclosure is as you described :  http://www.pedalenclosures.com/ProductDetail/tabid/104/rvdsfpid/yy-polished-finish-5/rvdsfcatid/yy-1/language/it-IT/Default.aspx

cool, thanks for the link. That's what I suspected, I recently used that chip when I build that latching relay/momentary switch circuit from R.G.Keen. but it was just a guess as it could indeed have easily been a quad opamp going just by looks.

EM drive, kind of dark sounding, not bad with a tele....

My Tight Metal clone...

Looks great Jim. I guess the TM was good enough to get a finished box  :icon_twisted:

Cool pedal Jim  love the design

This was gonna be my modest 10th anniversary entry, but things didn't quite work out...  It's Jimi's "Suzy Q MkII" (Rev. G).

Turns out it needs a bit of debugging anyway, so it was doomed not to make it on time!  I'm having jip even audio-probing my guitar lead, let alone the pedal!  It's been one of those days...   :-\   Fresh eyes, ears and brain tomorrow, I think...

Great idea for the graphics
I love Suzie qautro I saw her at reading festival around 85 she rocked it

Having not built a complete pedal in almost exactly four years I decided to build some delay pedals this past winter/spring. Just got around to finishing them now. I wrote about it http://pdfelectronics.com/delay-project/ (wip) if you're interested.

It was a learning experience, using Inkscape, learning how to use Envirotex, building on all these nice PCBs, etc. Anyways I think the pedals turned out pretty good. It was fun building them all and now getting to play them. During this little project I managed to also acquire a Dito Looper and volume pedal. Anyways I've been getting some pretty cool ambient type sounds with all these pedals going!

(got the pots labelled wrong so I couldn't use the PCB mounted pots, what a mess :( )

Chris, did you use the 1776 pcb for the Multiplex? How'd you implement the tap tempo? ("Tape speed"--great label, BTW.)

Thats funny because i find the one i just built to be more of a top boost.

which pot did u leave out?

thom

My second project, a valvecaster with true bypass.
Debug drove me nuts until I realised the loud hum magically disappeared with a regulated power supply...  :icon_rolleyes:

Gives nice crunch at low volume, and also great as a microphone preamp.

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

Left out the input pot, so it drives all the time.....  Probably going to switch it around, also I used a 2n3904...

I used 2n5088.  I'm very happy with the results... but would never imagine paying (or even think of charging, for that matter) $170

nice. real tree-wood, thom? I never know when to stop sanding, by which time my 180 grit paper has about 800 grit left on it. and my wood is a mess.

@kipper, that is a nice looking box.
granny at the G next satdy.

thom

It's oak, sanded with 80 grit then 120, then 3 coats of varnish.
It's my second time working with wood, so I don't know what it'b be like with other types.
