@chi_boy  - how did you do the white writing?  It looks awesome!

That's the Pulsar Pro System  http://www.pulsarprofx.com/

The start up is a little expensive and the learning curve can be steep, but the results are nice.  I love it and hate it.

Nice super fuzz, Hex. I haven't seen those kind of knobs before. Like 'em!

George - After transferring the Pulsar Pro graphics to your enclosure, do you have to spray clear to protect them? After watching the demo videos on the Pulsar Pro site, it seems they would be kind of fragile, yes/no?

Thanks

They "say" they can be left unprotected, but I found them to be to delicate for that on a pedal.  I have successfully powder coated over them, but the whites tend to yellow with the heat.  Blacks look perfect.  I have also taken after John Lyons and sprayed clear lacquer over powder coat, but that yellows the whites a bit too.

I've used it with enamels too (not over powder) and those don't yellow at all.  They don't need much clear over them at all.  The graphics are incredibly thin, so much so that the edge can't really be seen or felt.  Nothing like a water slide.

Haveyouseenhim - nice build. How did you make the oppening for the tube?

Jimllee - how did you finish the box? Toner, label? How many coats of red paint did it take?

I drilled two large holes with a stepper bit, used a dremel cutting wheel to connect the holes, and a little bit of filing to perfect the shape.

3 coats of red paint, clear laser jet water slide and then Famowood Glaze Coat Gloss Polyurethane from Lowes. adds about 3 days to a build, but well worth it.

Nice T Driver, Mike!

Cheers man! Those knobs are from Cliff Electronic Components in the UK - http://www.cliffuk.co.uk/products/knobs/rotary.htm, think they really suit the build!

This is awesome man! Thinking about using a treadplate pattern for an upcoming Triple Wreck build, looks sweet on yours so think I may just do it!

Thanks man! I use around a 40% sodium hydroxide/60% water solution for etching. Normally takes a total of about 20 mins roughly, I add the acid on top, wait for 2-3 mins then move it around with a paintbrush for approx. 2-3 mins to agitate it, brush the acid off then repeat, usually 3 times in total.
