Here's my new one. GGG Green Ringer with camouflage finish using acrylics. Was good fun painting (have to work on my technique a lot, though) and it sounds really good especially above the 12th fret!

Hello, It's been almost 2 years since my last build, so I thought to build my buddy something he wanted.
I see smd's are here to stay. They look super clean builds.
Pot texts wandered little bit, guess I got some ring rust going on  :D

nice to see a pedal with its own advertising copy on the front. and so little insides.

That looks awesome man! Still haven't really found an effective translucent spray paint to go over etches with, this looks class though, is powder coating difficult to do/get into?

This stuff works wonderfully over etches.

ah, here goes, my first gut shot. i was debating it anyway... cables are long, and there's much room for improvement, but it's moving in the right direction.

Used the General Guitar Gadgets PCB layout and etched it myself, and as a token of gratitude, bought some other board + some matched jfet transistors.

What color do you use, and what's the mesh size?

So a friend asked for a pedal for her husband. As I was already in the process of building him one anyway that he didn't know about, I thought this was a great idea. Now here is the cool part. I was going to build him a tubescreamer, but hadn't settles on the art work yet. She says the pedal has to be green and say "Michelle's Box" I said perfect. I have just the pedal. So I show her the Pedal with the text on it and say it needs something more. Chrome Lady!  She loves it and says now on the right it should sa put it in here. OH MY!  :o I said is there a story behind this pedal, she says yes, I say well don't tell me, T.M.I. anyway, I ordered a green bean, it was coming fast enough,(my fault late order) hello Sabrotone. I hope you enjoy Michelle's box as much as I did.

Built this board and put it in a case:

The case had this "cookies and cream vein" finish from Pedal Parts Plus.

So then had to do some "research" for inspiration on the art:

And this is what I ended up with:

Almost stock. I used BC549C for every BJT in the pedal because I have a bunch of them and few 5088s. I've been trying to resist the temptation to mod for the sake of modding lately, but after playing with it a while, I decided to drop the speed limiting resistors to 2.2K. This sacrifices a minimal amount of slow speeds for slightly faster fastest speeds. I also decided to run the LED through the footswitch. There's a 2.2K from the LED's anode to ground, and the cathode connects to ground when switched on. This keeps the LFO running all the time (otherwise it would take a second to go back to oscillating) and also keeps the white LED from being blinding (and saves me from having to use a colored LED in a monochrome pedal ... I won't lie, this was the main reason).

No light shield. It's dark in there anyway.

Oh, one last thing: how is it that no one else has called theirs a punyvibe? It seems like such an obvious pun, but there are no hits in google except a single mention on Circuit Workshop regarding Forrest's puny phase!
