I'll look into those, thanks. I was thinking of using Switchcraft exclusively.
L+M orders from Electrosonic and CE Dist. quite often and I get a good deal on that stuff, so I may have to save up. I used to just buy things as I needed them, now I'd just rather have 100 sitting around.

You used to be able to get the Neutriks, NYS229 and NYS230 from Electrosonic for ~ .60 and  .70 cents but it's been ages since they've shown stock for them, the 229's (mono) they still list as available but the 230's they just direct you the Switchcraft equivalent. Try them for the 229's they're still only .65 a piece for 10 or more with further discounts available, see what they say about delivery times.

G'day to all, Matt here. Seeing as i bought this from Ronan on this site, i thought i should post a pic here. I had a few questions re; the build and he was more than happy to help, so thanks Ronan, and here it is. For some reason imageshack has made the pictures huge, hope it's not too much of an issue.

This is a 2-in-1 build of the boards we sold for the Function f(x) start-up fundraiser.  The Duo-Vibe is by CultureJam and the GreaseGun OD is by Madbean.

As a birthday gift for a friend, I did the 567 Modulator, pretty much the Beavis version  from this page, but with C3 changed to a lower value http://www.beavisaudio.com/projects/ArmageddonProcessor/

Results were a lot less crazy than the Escobedo Thing Modulator that I've listened to on Youtube, but still worthwhile. It's just a 8-pin chip and some capacitators. Enclosure is plastic, was greyish white when I got it, and I did the logo by hand with Posca and Molotow pens.

A Woolly Mammoth circuit with only Volume and Pinch. http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.nl/2012/10/zvex-woolly-mammoth-cut-down-version.html

I used an old roland FS2 as an enclosure.

That is very creative!  8)

Hey, Smurfy,
How did you kill the frequency bleed-over out of the signal? I couldn't do it on mine.  Got a schematic that differs from the Beavisaudio one or dropping the value of C3 do the trick? What, prey tell, is the  new value of the cap you changed? If ya can spread the blue luv, that would be Smurf-tastic!

I only changed the cap btw 5 and 6 from 10 uF to 2.2 uF for the sake of tone range. Had I been a bit more ambitious, and I thought about doing it,  I think I would have added a switch that give like 3 different values or something. 0.1 uF sounded pretty crazy, and to go up from there to say 2,2 uF and then 4,7 uF would've been nice.  I will post a video once I've given the present tomorrow, otherwise i risk spoiling it for him. I accepted it to be noisy and wierd, so I never thought about killing anything like that. But I think I know what you mean. :)

EDIT:
Oh, now I know what you mean. Nope, there's frequency ticking all over the place. Ambition was just to give my friend a new noise toy, so I didn't even try. BUT... I've breadboarded the Harsh Modulator on this page http://www.beavisaudio.com/Library/567/567.htm , just did a quick run of it, but I never noticed any prominent ticking atleast.
