I still don't know why the board was designed around the 3080 when the 13700 is much better and easier to get  ::)

I asked him and he said it was just how the layout worked out. It might have been difficult routing or something.

Though I tried to get an LM13700 on Mouser today and they're no longer available from them in small numbers. So it goes. :( Now they're not exactly easy to get, unless you want to take a chance with Tayda or Ebay.

What size box did you use?

It's a 1590BB.

I get LM13700N/NOPB stock and single unit minmum showing up at Mouser, Digikey, Newark and Jameco. The picture for it at Mouser shows a SMD but the descriptor is for the DIP package.

Octopart's not letting me direct link so needed tinyurl work around.

Galego, if you wonder why you're short on quarter inch jacks, I know where they went.

I've started a monster!  I love this stuff, though.  I'm surprised and a little proud that I'm the only one who just sharpies RACOs.

Just for grins, I rolled back to the first five or six (or ten pages) of this thread. It is amazing what hath been wrought in this place.  :icon_twisted:

Nice muff. What board is it.mim especially interested in the third knob (tone) and the switch.

It's the strip board layout from tagboard, which includes the switch wiring. Since I'm a bassist, the mid boost really helps maintain some note definition.

I'm still troubleshooting some RF issues, but otherwise this thing is a beast. Not very versatile, but definitely fuzzy!

There are some excellent threads online about shielding wire, which connections to shield and why - this may solve some of, if not all, your problems.
:icon_biggrin: goodluck!
I can't think of anything funny just yet.

Hi everybody from Spain!!!!

I´ve been following this awesome thread through a couple of years. It´s been inspiring, thrilling, fantastic.... all kind of good things  :o!!!

Some of my pedals are clearly inspired by the work of so many great builders that appear here, and thanks to them everyday I open this thread to see what wonder awaits me.

While I register in a page similar to my old imageshack (now you have to pay  :icon_rolleyes: to use it) I´ll post my facebook, where I´m placing my pedals. I´ll try to keep it updated, but time is short in a family life  :icon_mrgreen:!! I have 3 or 4 more... in a couple of weeks I´ll try to put all of them.

Thanks to all builders and may my case serve to any beginner interested in pedals: 3 years ago I needed help in order to complete the components for a ruby amp :icon_eek:!!

Also I found a guard angel who taught me and still teach me everyday!!! Thanks man!! (also to the third element of my particular trio... Peter  :icon_lol:)

Great etches there Alejandro, looks like you're an old pro!

You can attach the photo from your Facebook posts, right click the image 'Copy image URL' then paste it to your post between [img][/img] and it shows up. There's an image button, above the reply box, to give you the required code.

Really like this one!

Thanks a million Dave!!!

Lets try:

One of the first tries in etching. A trem in a A pedal.... last time I try to put two pots and two switches in a so small box  :icon_confused:. It finished ok after some hard times!!!

Pics and guts:

My friend Peter is in love with this one... who knows... perhaps one day I´ll build one for his birthday  :icon_mrgreen:

PS: I have wanted to register since I don´t know when.... a couple of years watching and learning from all of you.... thanks again!!

Evindently Mr. Rob you´re a inspiring source for me!!  ;D ;D

This is my interpretation of your lightwah. I asked my friend to elaborate a wah controlled by light. He told me that it was going to be a little unstable... I didn´t mind... but he was true  :icon_rolleyes: :icon_rolleyes:!!!

My version is not very usefull in manual mode... although in auto runs like heaven  :icon_mrgreen:.

I think your lightwah is more controllable than mine, but I enjoyed building it.

Here you have guts freshly made (your wishes my orders  :icon_mrgreen:):
