I found an article in an Italian electronics magaine called Fare Ellettronica from 1993, called Dual Harmoniser, using the MSM6322
http://www.okisemi.com/jp/datadocs/doc-eng/msm6722.pdf

If anyone is interested, I'll scan the article and post it next week.

Wow!  What a cool chip - I bet it's for karaoke originally.  Looks like you could get away with just the one chip for a "dumb" pitch shifter.  I don't think you could make it do "intelligent" harmonization without a lot of effort, but as a straight-up pitch shifter it would be very cool.

I'd be interested to see what else the article does, other than copy the app note.

Yes, please! That chip's been referred to by several people (here and elsewhere), but it would be nice to see a working example, to see if it's worth pursuing.

Yeah, hmm... "spaghetti" is probably not the best name for this...
Though I'm sure no harm was meant, but it's best to be careful with what we say here. Don't know any nicknames for someone from Denmark, but perhaps "Pastry" or hmm...pasty...err...

I don't think we need be careful at all - what we need to keep is a sense of humour.

Hi guys,
StephenGiles, I'm not offended, there was a smile ;D after the sentence! (laughing and winking)
I don't like stereotypes, that's a fact (and there are a lot of them about Italians - some not so much stereotype... - ), but other are the things that get me angry, for sure :)
bye

PS. still ready for the translation

rocket

is the chip available anywhere?

StephenGiles

Back home now, after the horrors of "Easyjet" - well not exactly horrors but it would not be our choice of airline again. I definitely recommend Prague for a visit.

I decided to rename the thread after my cowboy film hero! Hopefully, I'll get the article posted this evening.

Would that be the good the bad or the ugly article?
