I gave up on stompboxes...,I will get back into them eventually, but for the moment I'm doing other things but I've since got into blogging and I think its a good way for you builder guys to show whats going on.The place I use allows me to link to pages so the opening area is just for dates, thumbnails and notes about what happens in a particular page(which is linked from the photo). It'd be a good thing for those build reports and how to stuff.Heres my place. http://artyone.blogsome.com/

They even have image hosting built in.

You mean casting your own knobs and casings, right. You didn't give up on making circuits did you? I mean thats just not possible, is it?

I wish you the best with whatever your hobby happens to be at the moment! :D 8)

I switch between hobbies a bit and there are only so many hours in the day. I do understand all too well.

I hope you'll be blogging soon about the next pedal your going to build. ;)

Take care and stop by any time. :D

Having a break is good, good luck!
I'm sure you'll be back!
One year ago I had a break too, but I couldn't resist the smell of soldering paste...

Is good to have a break in everything. Then when you return, you will be rested and ready for a great build.

The simple fact was that because of the knobs and enclosures needing more money I started building lotsa boxes to sell and its a whole lot less fun doing that.I reached a point where something didn't work as it should have and decided right there and then to give up at what seemed an unending drudge anyways.
I will definitely get back into fx pedals,I love making music with them, but I will never again attempt to make money from them. But the knobs are a different story and I'll be back there as soon as I can.
I've started back into art and am also writing a childrens book.I've always loved reading and feel like I have to,at long last, make my own contribution to the vast library of humanity I've dipped into for so long.
Thanks for the great replies and I'll be back with a vengence in no time.
