What is a G taper pot?

I have a broken 10KG pot (Overtone Control) on a Boss DF2 that the shaft is broken and I need to find a replacement for.

What would be the closest replacement taper for this or where could I find an exact replacement it?

Thanks,
Adam

G taper is reverse audio till midpoint and regular audio after that. I carry the 20K G for the TS, but Roland is gonna be your only source for the 10K one. Try calling their service desk at 323-890-3700. If you have no luck, a 10K linear should work, but the control won't "feel" the same.

Man, ya learn something new everyday! Are me and Adam the only ones who never heard of "G" taper?

Don't throw the broken one away, it MIGHT be possible to get a "same design" pot & disassemble it & swap the bodies over.
DISCLAIMER: havn't tried myself, for this type of pot.

I kept the pot and took it apart, but the the design is the reverse of Alpha style pots so the wafer on this one is at the back of the pot.
It is also a 12mm so if I can't get one from Roland I might have to do some hunting to find something close enough to do a swap with.

Mark F : I learned this too...

Just for curiosity, what kind of bizarre taper exists out there ?
