hey,
I have an adaptor jack from smallbear and one from mouser.  they are both plastic.  But the one from mouser has a plastic nut and the one from smallbear has a metal nut.   Any problem with using metal or plastic nut?

as long as there's no electrical connection to the nut - I see no probs.

The plastic nut ones (Kobicon) from Mouser are more of a challenge to connect because they mount from the outside. You have to string your wires through the hole in your enclosure and solder that way. But because they mount nearly flush with the enclosure, they look better IMO.
Pardon my poor English. I'm American.

Mark, do you know what the mouser catalog number is?  All the jacks I see look to be rear mounted.  Are these the Marshall'y looking jacks?
