Well besides music my other passion happens to be hockey,  here's an 808 clone with a few mods that I built while the forum was on "down-time"

Enjoy ... No sound clips as it sounds exactly like the MR Happy I built and posted clips of a while back ...

It was done with glossy photo paper and an inkjet color printer... I used 3M spray adhesive to keep it on and Krylon to clear coat. Unfortunately a piece of metal filling was on my sand paper when I sanded it and I scratched it a bit before noticing! DOH!

Guess who my team is ???  :D

If I was handy enough with photoshop, I'd layer in a goal behind the goalie (is that Joseph, Belfour, Telquist?) and make your LED light up red like the goal light!  I'm no Leaf's fan but that is a fine job nonetheless.
builds completed: boutique fuzz, rangemaster, BSIAB2, PT-80, Tonepad wah, Ross Comp, Axis Fuzz, MOSFET boost, Thunderchief, Big Muff (triangle), Mr. EQ, Dr. Boogey,  Neovibe, Dist+, EA Tremelo, ADA Flanger, RM Octavia
next build(s): ???

Very nice.  I like that.  Being a hockey nut myself having grown up in the Buffalo area, I have to commend you on a job well done.  Wrong team though.... GO STARS!!!!!  :D

Hey cool!

Are those vintage Gretzky electro caps ??? :D

Connoisseur of Distortion

for some reason i was picturing a 1590BB flying towards a terrified goalkeeper. oh well. nice job, it looks fantastic!

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

I had a vision of a puck-shaped one, too - like one of those tobacco tins.

Basstyra

NICE !!

I finished my first whole pedal done by myself, an my enclosure is not really painted... I wish I could do paintings like this...

... My dad's a Habs fan and my borther's a Sens fan ... they both hated the pedal! :)

Very nice graphics!! 8)
More of a soccer fan myself, but after yesterdays game I wouldn't dare building a "PSV Eindhoven" booster. On second thought, that may just be what they need: a nice boost in the right direction :D . Back to the drawing board.

Bahh, no appreciation for good artwork.  :D  I like the Leafs simply because of the hockey tradition, one of the Original Six.  I've always admired the Habs, the Yankees of the NHL, although they haven't been the tough Habs of the past in quite some time.

I've been watching some of the series lately, I'm a dialog editor by day and I'm editing a Movie based on the series ... A more behind the scenes thing... That's where the idea came from :)

Quote from: phaetonYeah...

but what does it sound like???

sounds great ;) ... I had a soundclip up of the last pedal I built ( MRHappy ) using the same circuit, a my modded 808, Although this is NOT a recording of the leafs pedal it sounds 99% the same. The MRHappy had a switch to get 2 diode configs and no diodes.

Ist is no pedal
2nd is my Modded TS808
3rd is MRHappy 1 ( Tubescreamer )

4th is MRHappy Ftone diode config ( this is what the LEAFS pedal sounds like ... )

5th is no diodes.

Now, what you really needed was a sort of Visual Sound combo pedal, with a Leafs half, and a Habs half.  Of course the channel flip switch would have a blue and a red LED to indicate which channel you were using.

T'wer my pedal, I think I'd have a picture of a toothless/gaptoothed star of the past, maybe Mahovlich or Rousseau or even Richard, with the status LED situated right in the middle of the gap.  Or maybe you need a picture of a goal net (and masked goalie), and the status LED could be the goal light above the net.

He riffs! He SCOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRESSSSS!!  At 7:48 in the 3rd period, goal by Melanhead, with assist by Crosby.[/color]
"So Don, what'd you think of the tone on that 2nd goal?"
"Well, Ron, I gotta say this first.  Kids, it's about the basics, and when it comes to the basics, you can't do better than a good old fashioned Canadian pedal.  Now I know some of you parents watching out there are gonna complain, and you know I don't really care if you do.  You can whine, and write your letters to the....the...whaddya call them?"
"CBC ombudsman?"
"Yeah, that guy.  You can go do your polite stuff all you want, but when you compare, riff for riff, whether its on power chords or single note soloing, those candy-ass Chinese pedals just don't hold up to the rock-em sock-em Canadian designs.  And hey, Blue likes them too."

vanhansen

Ok, Mark, now you're getting silly.   The Habs/Leafs idea is cool, but that dialog?  WOW.  They don't really sound like that on "Hockey Night in Canada" now do they?

Obviously you don't get "Coach's Corner" where you are.  Yup, it's pretty close to the real deal.  Blue is Mr. Cherry's pet bull terrier.
