Sorry if I'm playing catch up, but I didn't see...
When do "I" get one and , Where do I get one, what amount do I pay for one ?
I was about to pick out a Flanger to want, I think I have that part done tho now.

Same here.  I'd like to try one out.

Speaking of, what happened to its creator?  I haven't seen him on here in a while.

This does sound incredible Ton, I think it needs the guitar to do it justice. Will it take a line level signal I wonder?

Yep, I found em! Thanks to mode zero. Here are some more clips. Warning! These are very "out there", and LOW quality.  :icon_mrgreen:

Great job puretube! I now have to convince my wife that I truly NEED this thing!  :icon_mrgreen:

Puretube- Since I moved to Phoenix and no longer in KC, Mo. where I got such great deal(musiciansfriend), I suppose Ill actually have to buy this one!!

I think it may be a while before the Hoax reaches England. I phoned Rockbottom in Croydon who hadn't heard of it and a thick sounding youth said "if yer wan(t)  a flanger ma(t)e we go(tt)a second hand Ibanez!!!!!!!!!!!!, and Macari Music Exchange in London who told me it may be on the next shipment several weeks away!..........nothing changes!

Thanks Ton, not for a while though unfortunately, I have a large hospital bill to pay! Have you taken any autumn photos yet? The leaves on many trees here are changing colour, and as the sun is shining today it may be the best day for photography. We always take our dog to a large park area with woods on Sunday.

Ton, any hope of a rack mount version of this beast? I just don't have the pedalboard real estate for such a behemoth - it's hard enough to find a place to plant my board at most gigs! It's also the type of effect I like to keep within arm's reach for twiddling. Maybe a deluxe rack version with envelope control, yeah that's it! 8) It wouldn't look as cool, but…

If Mike Matthews can release the Bi-Filter, and people buy them (they *are* buying them, aren't they?), then how could a rackmount Flanger Hoax be competely off the table?

On the other hand, there are a number of items that probably *could* have been expanded to rackmount size with additional features (Holiest Grail, P.O.G., Microsynth), but never were, so the presence of a small handful of rackmount products is no clearcut omen.  Certainly the modulation and signal routing possibilities in the Flanger Hoax (and would a rackmount versin be the "Biggest Hoax"?) deserve to be used...for good, not for evil.

don`t ask for details, but the CV + expr.-ped. inputs will be very poweful...

PT, I'm not askign for details about the Hoax, but on the question of CV and expr pedals in general...... there seem to be FAR too many different control pedals!! A couple of my boxes have waht I like to cal "real" CV inputs, that is to say, 1/4 mono jacks that expect to see a , well, Control Voltage say 0 to 10V. But Moog has a TRS pot system, Boss has a pot (different arrangement) andBehringer different again.... do you have any thiughts on what should be there?? Personally I'm keen on actual voltage as a control, because it makes it easier to run LFO and audio signals in for modulation..

Certainly works well for a certain big blue box on my pedal board! ;D 8) It can transform an old scratchy volume pedal and a 9v battery into a dangerous weapon! Of course an old gym sock can do this as well, but this sounds much cooler!

Paul: note the "plus"-sign there:
QuoteCV + expr.-ped. inputs

Like many things in this world, I can SEE it, I just don't know exactly what it means.
I know what I HOPE it means, but...!

Anybody yelled: "Tube-Hoax" ?  -  I heard that !

?{was it: (true-) "stereo"}?
:icon_wink:

puretube, I hope you don't me asking, but what is responsible for the hiss coming from the Flanger Hoax?  Was a compander not used in order to reduce the cost, or is there some other problem?  Any chance that the pedal will be revised to fix this?
