4ms Noise Swash problem.

Hi,

We've recently built two Noise Swash pedals using the RTS PCB from 4ms and identical components. One of them seems to work fine (well, it might be in some need of minor tweaking) but the other one has severe problems with output level. With the Master Volume, and pre+ post gain knobs at max it can barely reach unity gain, while the other has enormous amounts of output. We've checked it over and over again - switched opamps, checked the solder joints, resistor values and polarity on the electrolyte caps.

The measures voltage - ground to v+ on the board reads about 7.7V (shouldn't it be 9V?!)on both of them. Voltage at the 072 (pin 6, if I remember correctly) on the one without the level problems is about 4,3V and the other 3,6V. That's is the only reading that differs.

It also seems to be more sensitive to "the human touch", humming and crackling noises, interferences of all kinds when touching cables is an issue; again not on the working one.

The whole circuit on both is a max tweaker+ (LFO/Trouble-Tame/Low Power/Clean Bend mods) built exactly to specifications on the 4ms site. The plan is to add the external audio input as well when we've sorted everything out.

Apart from the problems mensioned above the unit seems to work more or less as it should (awesome that is), although it may lack the spectre of sounds compared to the fully working unit; just doesn't seem to reach all the way.

Can someone help us out with thoughts on what this could be? We're thankful for any kind of response, just general guidelines on what to focus on would help a lot!

Thanks for your time guys.

/Sam

...which I did just before this post. Figured I would double my chances to find some guidance.
