I've bought all the parts for the BS250 version of this circuit, I see that it's evolved a lot over the last couple of years.  Do any of you have a preferred version?

I didn't tried the BS250 version. My favorite one is the transistor version. Not the new one, that have a Obsidian gainstage and a Blackfire gainstage, but the old transistor one that have two identical stages.

  A real B.A. Mo Fo !!!
Built two, they have alot of crossing wires and multi connection nodes, both of them had 'builder problems'...I loved 'em when they were working...wouldn't mind having another...somewhere...in one of those huge piles of printed schematics, is the page I built these from...  :icon_rolleyes:

That is one reason I got a the small Radio Shack bread board, so I could try the various versions and combinations of different stages.  The Mosfet BS250 version is cool as are the rest.  The Vulcan stages are my current favorites because of their "tube like" squish.  Mix and Match.  Throw in a diode set.  Be sure and experiment with the by-pass cap values.  GREAT stuff.   8) :icon_cool:
