And about time...the other one was good for Voltage %ages [reads a little high] resistances and diode mode.
One night when testing it unknowingly, I repaired the black lead tip, the red lead tip, and then the 'cylindrical column post [in PCB] that the leads connect with, I went ahead and made the other posts fresh with solder also.
I had to repair the battery lead.
I feel guilty posting about paying the 399 for the new Meter,  :icon_redface: it has diode mode, and HFE checker too !!! Plus...it actually works.
Last week I bought a meter from Philcap Elec. [NTE Guy] for 10, no diode or HFE mode, he said "It's got a good battery" when I asked about battery type and if it had one. It doesn't work. :icon_mrgreen:

Like four Buxx man, I was like oh...this is worth a try.
Used it tonight during the TSF build, nice quiet beep on the diode checker [I like that], EZ spin range knob...oh ... I need to go turn that darn thing off {I think...I'll go check the Screen display and see if it shuts itself off !!! Nice to not have to turn it on all the time but the battery 'll get eaten faster at this rate...
I wonder what settings eat the least battery if the thing is left on...
