A new game... what made this sound?

Okay here's a snippet (poorly-done as usual)  of a squire strat -  into a single diy effect -  into a cheap SS amp.  Can you guess what the effect is?

I love the early Queen stuff and Sheer Heart Attack was one of my favorites!!! I thought you played it really well, and it almost has the same tone as the backwards guitar solo of "Flick of the Wrist" from the same album. So obviosly my guess would be the ROG May Queen or just a Rangemaster. Sounds great!!!

Ya know, with a wah pedal set and voiced just right, you could achieve that sound.  I'll go with a wah in one standing position.

No fair!! Tricking me with a pedal I just made a couple soundclips with!! Seriously, I was thinking while recording with Joe Gagan's Freeper that it would also work in a regular stomp box, using the "wah" knob as a kind of filter. Your "mystery clip" confirms that!! Nice one Marty!!!!
