Looking for an as simple as can be mid eliminator filter, without the use of induction.
What would be an easy way to have a pot go from unmolested to mid-gutted?

  You Want
  "Notch Filter"
As [or similar to] what is implemented toward the end of 'SuperFuzz'

What!!! YOU IDIOT NOOO!!!! I wan't a MID-CUT!!!! No, just kidding. O.K. notch filter's what I wan't then.
You lead me to another question what effect would having a filter before or after a signal boost?

petemoore

First to calc., is that the passives in the NF circuits that the input signal will encounter will lessen the output.
Having the signal at least beefed up before, or boosted after is probably necessary.
Placed Before, any distortion that takes place after will be distorted only in the frequencies that are left, which can be cool, maybe kind of drastic, I can't attest.
Placed after some distortion, it'll sound different..lol. As seen here and there.
Otherwise the notch filter alone [say with clean boost] will just take away mids.
