Hi,

I have some spare OC76 GE transistors originally purchased for building an Orange Treble and Bass Booster, But have now built that successfully,

Earlier today I also built Joe Gagan's Easy Face, with the Stripboard/Vero board layout using 2 OC76 , I didnt measure them but the Fuzz sounds awesome!
Exactly how I would of expected a Fuzzface to sound like.

I know the OC76 and AC128 are pretty similar transistors

Question is what other things can I build with these, Would a Big Muff be feasable with GE trannies? although I already own a bought russian sovtek version already...

Also what is a bummer I dont have a real tube amp, I use my PC , and use Amp emulation software such as amplitube Live, and Native Instruments Guitar rig.
But the fuzzface definately distorted and sounded great without using the software...

Thanks, Look forward to any replies.

Another note:

I just quickly recorded & uploaded a track using my fuzzface clone using OC76 routed through other effects(delay, ampsim, rotating cabs etc..), turning off the normal distortion in Native instruments Guitar Rig, It sure makes a difference

Solo to Time by Pinkfloyd using a bootleg with vocals and no lead guitar from "A treefull of secrets"

Please Be aware im drunk, but i think the effect sounds OK, Gilmour originally used a fuzzface and Univibe for Time.

and clean straight into the stereo (is this how one should sound?):

hard to tell, the first one sounds like good playing, but the digital system is taking away from the fuzzface character.

the second one sounds like a fuzz through a stereo to me.

A tube amp is a must with a fuzzface in my opinion, try it at a music store.  :icon_wink:
