Ibanez Black noise (Hemmo circuit)

hi all,

i found yesterday this circuit, adn gave it a try

here:


now, i have doubts about that zone with the red mark

the 10k w/the 4.7k intersect in the circuit (making that gyrator useless)... now, if i bridge it (as with the other gyrator), i get all the bass that's missing, but i also get this loud hum

anyone had this problem?
i read somewhere these gyrators act as resonance peakers, maybe its peaking the ground loop..
