if i change the 1.5M and 3.9K resistors on the buffer of the ruby to 4.7M and 15K like the grace overdrive will i be able to get more distortion out of it? ive been using a boss sd-1 in front of it and to me it sounds perfect with just the level and tone maxed. ide like to elimanate the pedal and plug straight in and get the same(simular) distortion. im using a 12 volt regulated power supply if that matters. thanks in advance.---tom
sound is subjective.

The use of the word "simular" really annoys me, please try to spell "similiar", it's not that much longer.

Not trying to be disrespectful or mean in any way.

The buffer from the Grace overdrive won't sound any different than the Ruby buffer.

If the SD-1 lets you nail a certain sound, why not just use it?

i built the amp for my son(he's 6) and he likes to leave my pedals pluged in and drain the batteries witch annoys me and it would also be one less thing to carry when i borrow the amp. what is the simplest booster i could ad to the amp? thanks again B Tremblay.
