hi there,

i am looking to building a line02 guitar pedal selector..

is there any schematic out there??

Hi, I think the boss Line selector would be kind of hard to make with all the options it does with routing (like series/parallel) and mixing, unless you really need all the options and you can't get a used one where you live.  I would guess it uses tons of electronic switches and buffers.  Also the jacks aren't layed out that conveniently for pedal boards.   For selecting between 2 loops of pedals, a true bypass looper works nice and is easy to make, and can work without batteries.  Search for "true bypass looper" if that interests you.

here's the LS-2 schematic from the owner's manual.  I own an LS-2 and am trying to figure out the possibilities of modding it to have a setting A<>B<>A&B, since all it has stock is A<>B, A<>B<>bypass, and A&B<>bypass.   any ideas?

That's a block diagram, not a schematic.

The three way switch at either end is the electronic switching Processaurus speaks of.
It could be done with a 12P3T rotary switch, but at the cost of a footswitch and no other routing options.

There is also seven buffers in the block diagram. Thats a lot, even for a 1590BB

This is a perfect example of an simple idea that turns into a consuming project
as one starts looking at electronic switching and all the neat thing that can do.

Do you want a simple DIY LS-2 (ie: use a rotary)
or do you want to delve into the details of electronic switching (ie: advanced project and learning curve)
or should you just go buy one?

It is the DIY quandary we all wrestle with.

Good luck
It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
Maybe I can afford one, if I do a little less drinking. - Fred Eaglesmith
