I have the schematic, but being the electronics nerd I am, I would be really grateful if somebody has a vero layout for it. I plan to build it as a Jeff Beck simulator :icon_mrgreen:, as he used it back in the 70's.

I have tried myself as I don't want to ask for more veros, but actually learn to trace them by myself. I have a ZVex SHO schematic and as it looks very simple I'll try with it. However the Overdriver looks not so easy and the original schem I have is very old and not very clear..

I have an original; I must say it can really nail those Beck tones of Blow by Blow!

A lot of Jimmy Page is in this one too! He used it a lot

That's why I need the vero layout :icon_sad:. Jeff Beck is my hero.

Doesn't look too bad.  If no-one else is willing I'll have a bash at it.  ;)

i think martymart has a vero layout.  you might ask him! :icon_wink:

I made one, but didn't "draw it up"  !!
That happens a LOT  :D
I'll add it to the list ..... which has at least four in front   :icon_eek:
I'm sure you could do it yourself ( and learn in the process )  come on
guy's ..... sometimes you have to "dive in"  !!!
If I can do it, then anyone can  .....

Hi

Sorry I can't help with a layout for this, and slightly OT, but is this the same / similar to the Colour sound Power booster that David Gilmour used to use?  Maybe someone who knows more about these things can enlighten me.  I have been looking for a Power booster schematic but have been unable to find one.

Here's a quote from Macari's site:

"So what's the difference between the Power Boost and the Overdriver ?? Um . . . .nothing ! Except the case ."

Yes, no difference, but the new ones (non-vintage) has a volume knob the original missed.

Now you can dial in more fuzz tones (turn the drive up) without the HUGE volume increase!

You'd be my hero then. :icon_biggrin:

Anyway I'll start trying my own layouts. After all I've "stolen" from you guys is about time that I make my own contributions.

But this isn't an easy one so please..... whenever you have the time ......

aron

I drew out a crappy one. Perhaps we could refine it. I need to check it for errors.

I built this a while back  on perfboard and still have it.

troubledtom

aron,
i'd like to see it on perf,  cool.

Is this the schematic? http://home.hawaii.rr.com/stompbox/CSOVR.JPG
If it is I'll try and do a vero layout, shouldn't be too hard.

Go for it.  I'm in the middle of tracing out some pedals that don't have schematics on the 'net, so it would be a week or two at least until I got to this.  :icon_biggrin:

OK, here's a first try. I'm lousy at vero - much better at perfboard, but I think it will work.

Let me know if you see any errors and if not, maybe we can be playing "Blow-by-blow" soon.

THANK YOU AARON!!!! :icon_biggrin:

I'll also try to make my own drawing. I'm afraid your drawing wouldn't fit in a 1950BB and that's the bigger I can go.

I promise to post a Blow by blow sample when it's done

aron

How many rows can we go (max) for a 1590BB box? That's what I use too.

You have 22 "strips" in yours, need to get that down to about 12/16  !

So, 12/16 strips X 28 holes is about max for a "comfortable" 1590BB  fit :D

Try "sharing" some strips and making more "cuts" ....

As promised heres my attempt, I havn't labelled the components yet, just thought I'd post it in case anyone can spot any glaring mistakes. It should just fit in a 1590BB my big muff vero layout is the same size and that does.
