Tweaking the Demeter Tremulator. Need help.

I have the Demeter Tremulator pedal and it adds about 1db to compensate for the tremoloeffect.
I think it adds too much volume. Is it possible to modify this pedal so it doesn't add so much volume?

I dont know the pedal, but wouldnt a simple volume pot tacked on the end suffice?


Maybe make it an internal trimpot to not effect its resale value.
