6 inches long wires for pots/switch: Any problem with that?

Hello all

I'm (still) building my univibed phase 45, and I have a question:
I'm housing it in a cookie tin, and I want to leave the pots/led/switch in the cover; but I'll have to open it a bit to switch batteries from time to time.
Is there any problem on using longer wires (6 inches) connecting the board and these other parts? The in /out jack and the V+ are short wires, though.

Thanks a lot!

Shouldn't be a problem in that, in a high gain distortion it would though !!

great, thanks!

One more thing: should I "twist" the pot/switch wires around each other (like everyone does with the battery wires?)
I don't quite understand where the twist is effective and where it isn't...

Keep input and output wires away from, or crossed over each other.
Of course on a phaser, this might be an easy way to get feedback regeneration... ??? :D...keep in/out wires away from eachother
...tight box layout with all hardwired items on one side of the box has advantages.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Perhaps you could turn the tin upside down, so its cover is at the bottom, like the 1590 boxes.

keep the in away from the LFO, or you might pick up click.

i run some wires 13-15 inches :icon_eek:

in a high gain circuit, 2 inches of wire will get you. i think that something liek this won't care at all, though.

Unless you have pedal enclosures made of cardboard and a neon light on the pedal board. :)
