I used only 6 legs but set it up for 8 legs in the future.  The circuit works and I can't hear any noise.

The PCB is the Gallery here on page 3 http://aronnelson.com/gallery/Schematics-etc
It is designed for parallel FX so I did not include vias or traces for switches in the splitter as I am putting the switches in the mixer stage I just tested last night. I like the quiet sound of defeating the pots in the 10 band stereo line mixer by Jon Tirone. I could not here any noise in it either, in line with the splitter.

The schemo for the splitter is on GEO here http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/splitter.gif

The PCB I made and named "Octaplus" in the spirit of R.G. Keen's "Spyder"

This is the first PCB I have ever designed, and the parts are little tight fitting, but doable. I used all the same parts as the schemo except I used TL072 for the opamp.  The transformers are close together but do not touch.

I also made a DC Power Supply, 2 transformers, 5 regulators, +3, +9, +12 on one transformer and +9/-9 on the other transformer with adjustable regulators LM317/LM337.

Yep, made that box out of steel stud tracks.  Real clean, I can't tell the difference from batteries. Used 2200 uf input caps and over size transformer.

Thanks R.G.!

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I know this is a very old thread but I'd love a layout for the spyder!
If anyone knows where to find one, let me know!
thanks!

Deception does not exist in real life, it is only a figment of perception.

Thanks! I tried searching for days!
Guess it just took a pro :)

Is that Octaplus PCB for 8 isolated outlets, or do I need one for each outlet?
