The second review down is very eloquent.

The hoax really does well in the feedback loop of a pushed preamp tube amp.

I am using it for shoegazer style rhythm at the moment, ala My bloody valentine. It has replaced my vintage polychorus in this duty.

I wish there was some visual representation of the sweep, two LED's would do it. The mods you suggested Ton also got me wanting to add an envelope controlled LDR to control the rate. I am apprehensive to mod it though. I want to keep it original for resale value when it becomes a future classic. I may buy another one for modding. Hopefully confused people will start dumping them on ebay for cheap.
