Mockman Question

  First off anybody made this?  I made one last night and had a little trouble.  Okay, just say I want to add the optional gain and remove the volume.  I think I got the adding the gain part right, but not sure what to do removing the volume.  Do I just pop a 100k resistor to ground and then to my out?  I was tinkering around I've got effect, but I also have some serious Sreeching.  Here's the schem

I think you'd be better off keeping the volume control ( I did ) and forget the gain, you can
adjust gain with your gtr vol pot ( this is what's happening with the gain pot at the front anyway ! )
other wise, you'll have a "fixed" output vol .... not good !
A 47k to ground, with output taken from the top of it, will give you "half" vol though ....
Use the two LED's, sounds very close to a real one then

  Thanks MartyMart. Its actually going in a guitar so I figured I already have that volume control.  So I figured I have the gain adjustable via another pot and make the volume fixed since I can control it with the guitar volume.  I'll try it the other way or I reckon I can do this

welll i built the other day,.. and y can tell you that is one of my favourite distortion pedal... my mods are..
1M pot in the first feedback loop to control the gain
tone control of the omnidrive... it has a mid sccop and its easy
biger decoupling caps.. god demand... this thing its (WAS)so "ear piecirng"
it soun awesome with my ibanez wah.. since it has some mid-boost very marsahalll like
