http://www.pat2pdf.org/patents/pat4198880.pdf  is an improved version of the "cheese wheel" Leslie I have.  Clearly, Donald Leslie is a huge huge fan of "swirl". He seems to like it any way he can get it...and there are lots of ways!  :icon_biggrin:

OK, gez: you said the bad word - you naughty boy, you...  :icon_lol:

so you don`t believe in Santa and Rudolph?

If Rudolph saw those he'd be spinning in his grave...though of course his horns would spin at up to 10X the rate as the rest of him... :icon_razz:

OK, so I was up late last night reading Leslie patents. Today, this thread appears. Does this make me cool? Or are we all geeks?

My favorite Leslie patents:

- "Planetary Acoustic Phase Shift Mechanism" - rotating Leslies mounted on a rotating Leslie. It should produce sounds similar to a Solina string ensemble, except orders of magnitude cooler.
- One of the patents had a frequency shifter, that worked off of a spinning capacitive plate (of course SOMETHING has to be physically rotating). The belt that drove the frequency shifter had a strange eccentric cog, that would cause the amount of frequency shift to change pseudo randomly. Now THAT's neat.

So, here's a link, on how to recreate some of this stuff digitally:
