So...Q1 is getting close to 1 volt at the collector, is that ok?  Doesn't seem like much power...

Also, I was wondering if you could show me what the graph for a buzzbox circuit would look like so I can compare it to mine.  It is suppose to "octave" also.

(If its too much work, just say so...I feel bad having you do all this stuff lol)

It has to be there because of the 1n914 and the BE diode of Q1. It was 'designed' this way.

Power doesn't really have anything to do with the operation of this circuit. It's primarily a voltage gain design.

I started out with nothing... I still have most of it.

lol, you would think I would know that since I'm the one that designed it hehe.

Thanks for all your help man.

Ok...well, just played around with my bazz and the resistor in instead of diode (like in my cup of joe circuit) and I realized it sounds like garbage when playing chords, only good on single notes.  So I think I'm going to swap out the 330k resistor for a red LED, can I do that or is there anything else I would have to change in my schematic?

Bah.  I think I might just kybosh the whole thing...its almost identical to the buzzbox.  Oh well, I'll come up with something interesting eventually.  It's fun anyway.  And on top of that now I can focus more on building other people's pedals first and learn more.

Built so far:
Mr. Clean volume pedal
Fuzz Face Distortion pedal
Bazz Fuzz

Soon to come:
Easy Drive
MXR Phase 45
Obsidian Overdrive
Little Gem Amplifier
