stupid crash sync, stupid breadboard ( please help)

i hate that all i post are questions...

breadboarded up the crash sync, everything worked fine.  got it on perf, the "sweep" pot isn't working.  checked everything i could think of, can't find my error.  weird thing is, on the meter it's resisting perfectly.  the pedal still makes a close approximation of the sound of the crash sync, except without the sweep.  i'm so confused...
