if you heavily distored a envelope filter, could it sound like an explosion?

  The 'raw' effect of whatever can be less irritating and more interesting if accoustic 'impersonations' like echo, phase, chorus, flange for hills or walls, [provided there's enough high end 'attack content to make them noticable], and some kind of compression might make it easier to get low end resonance without popping coil from cone.
  One of the things that's 'hard' [dependant on low end wave producing equipment] things to get is the rumbly low end, recent war movies...I would bet there's a software program for one of the more modern keyboards [or trigger device like drum pad]...-

...I mean I swung my foot and kicked the pedal.  The springs in the reverb did the rest.   :icon_mrgreen:
