I have seen some flangers with the manual and LFO at the same time

What does the Manual control do to the LFO circuit?

The Manual parameter changes the time constant? controls the notches/peaks? moves the notches/peaks up and down?

With the LFO sweeping up and down a voltage with DC offset. The LFO changes the time constant but the manual parameter
changes the time constant also if they are both the LFO and manual are on at the same time what happens?

Whats the difference between DC offseting the LFO VS using a manual parameter with the LFO?

Mostly it replaces it.

No.

Yes.

Yes.

The offset of the LFO causes the LFO to sweep through a different range. The manual replaces the LFO - no sweeping except when you turn the manual knob.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Thanks for the help

The Boss Flanger BF-2 has the manual parameter and LFO on at the same time

See how the manual parameter is on at the same time the LFO is sweeping

The offset of the LFO causes the LFO to sweep through a different range doesn't the manual parameter do this also?

It seems like the maual parameter is the offset?

I thought the phase filter network sets the range? but the LFO offset sets the range also?
