How would you insert this tone control by Brian Marshall into a BSIAB2?

Can you just add it between the stages after the R19 gain control?

I'd say replace the circuit between (and including)  C9 and 14.
Connect the 4k7 resistor to ground if you're going to feed the tonecontrol directly into the output volume.
You might need a recovery stage to compensate for signal loss in the filter, but you might not since there already was a tonecontrol.

yeah i would say put it in the output,

you can do it this way in the same board

replace C9 for the .047
replace R7 for the bass pot
replace C10 for the 4k7
replace C8 for the treble pot
replace R8 for the .0022
take R20 out and use a jumper from the R8 - C8 network  and R20 and leave the  R7 - C10 network with the pot opened

this way you wont have to modify the board or add a new board, im actually going to do it right now.  ;D

Thanks for the help, I am going to try this with the small perf layout.
Let me us know how it works on the board Nero.

yup it worked!!!!!!!!!! since i had the box painted already i left the treble control where the tone was and for the bass i used a trim pot, it works fine but you might have to play with the values to make it more versatil.

How's it sound compared to the original BMP tone stack?
I'm interested, the biggest gripe some have had with the bsiab2 was that it sounded too thin. I modded the bmp tone stack to get as much bass as I could, but does this work better?

Steben

It is my honest opinion that in your double control there is no mid cut (scooped sound) where the single BMP control has. You simply cut treble and/or bass, or don't cut at all, leaving the mids alone. Personally I still like the BMP control a lot.
