I was a bit bored last night so knocked this together in an hour or so.  What a great sounding (and ear rottingly loud  :icon_mrgreen:) little amp.  I used my own vero layout, which can now be listed as verfied.  I think I'll add a dual ganged pot to control the gain as it's pretty ferocious on full.  Thanks to Peter Snowberg for that suggestion, and to the boys at runoffgroove.com for another great project.

My plan is for this to go into an old pratice amp as the dirty channel, with a Ruby running at 18V from a charge pump as the clean channel.  Add in a latching relay and driver circuitry and I've got a great little two channel practice amp.  I'll also add in a speaker out so it can go to a cab, both of these amps are very loud through a 2x12".

Nice work.
It's good to see "diy" people experimenting and share ideas. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations on your build. 8)

Not to rain on your parade, but I think you'll find a charge pump won't deliver the kind of current you need for the ruby. If you're using the original transformer from that amp, you should be able to hook up a voltage doubler using a couple diodes and with a couple big caps. You'll get plenty of juice from that.
